Contributing to Fitchburg Fields

Every movement for positive change, every wonderful new creation of humans, starts with a vision, and is built over many years with hard work and broad participation.

If you are inspired by our vision for the 250-acre parcel (click here for our Vision) that is currently owned by a developer, and if you are impressed by what we've already accomplished with our current educational and charitable programs (click here for more info), done on a shoestring with volunteer power, then please give as large a contribution as you are able.

The faster we can grow, the more likely we'll be able to purchase some or all of this very special 250-acre parcel.  Because it's within the Urban Growth Boundary of Fitchburg, it is in danger of conventional development.  You can be a part of the movement to save it for a new kind of development (click here for our Vision) that is much more appropriate for our rapidly-approaching future.

Just imagine some years from now, visiting Fitchburg Fields, taking an organic gardening course or stopping by on a bicycle trip, and saying, "They couldn't have done this without me!" And you'll be right. But we can do it with your help.  Thank you for contributing.

Tax Deductions

Fitchburg Fields is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt non-profit organization. Your donations are tax deductible. (All donations are tax deductible retroactively since March 18, 2008.)

Yes, we have a Plan B.

Although this 250-acre parcel is our preferred location, if we are unable to purchase it, our Land Purchase Fund will be used to buy approximately the same acreage in another location in Fitchburg (because of its proximity to the UW-Madison and groups that would participate in the project). We will then transfer the entire organic Learning Center concept to the new site and adjust the plan to the physical layout.

No small potatoes!

A large percentage of our operating funds come from individual donations.  We can't do this without community support, and there is no such thing as too small of a donation.  Whether your community is Fitchburg, Dane County, or the community of folks who care about creating local, organic food systems, your contribution will make a difference.
